Why it worked

Every minion Siphoning Strike finished off added permanent damage, and nothing anywhere capped it. Wither took 95 % off a target's movement and attack speed, which is another way of saying it removed a marksman for five seconds. Leave a Nasus alone for twenty minutes and armour stopped being an answer.
