Why it worked

Madred's Bloodrazor took 4 % of the target's maximum health as magic damage on every hit, and Warwick's kit was built entirely around never having to stop attacking. Spirit Visage boosted the healing his lifesteal produced, so the longer a fight ran the stronger he got. This build is why the item no longer exists.
