Why it worked

Every third hit, Silver Bolts took a percentage of maximum health as true damage, and no item in the game reduced it. Tumble reset her attack and Final Hour granted three seconds of invisibility per roll, so she never stood still to deal it. Blade of the Ruined King added a second percentage-health effect on top.
