Why it worked

Dazzle was a click-to-stun with no skillshot to sidestep, and it scaled off ability power he never bought. Shatter turned his armour into damage and passed armour to the whole team as an aura. Old Taric duelled the toplaner he was nominally there to support, and came out ahead.
