Why it worked

Impale suppressed a target and hauled it along wherever he walked, and suppression ignored tenacity outright. Crystal Slash brought his own cooldowns down on every hit, so a full-tank Skarner still cycled his kit faster than a mage did. The correct answer was a Quicksilver Sash bought before the fight, which is barely an answer.
