Why it worked

Unstoppable Force was an area knock-up with no way around it, and at full ability power it also carried an assassin combo's worth of damage. Ground Slam scaled off his armour, so the defensive items he was buying anyway kept paying in. One flank closed teamfights before a single spell had gone out.
