Why it worked

Martial Cadence took a percentage of the target's current health on his first attack, so he came out of every trade ahead. Cataclysm dropped an arena around one enemy and took them out of the teamfight for as long as it stood. Demacian Standard paid attack speed and armour, which kept the aggressive build durable.
